ராஜஸ்தானில் தனது மனைவி மேல் சந்தேகம் கொண்ட கணவன் ஒருவன், அவனது 6 வயது மகன் கண் முன்னே தனது மனைவியை கோடாரியால் வெட்டி கொன்று விட்டான். கொலை செய்த பின் தனக்கு எதுவுமே தெரியாதது போல தூங்கச் சென்றுவிட்டான். இந்த கொலை சம்பவம் அப்பகுதி மக்களிடையே பெரும் அதிர்ச்சியை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது.
சர்தார்மல் என்ற நபர், ராஜஸ்தான் மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள சிகார் மாவட்டத்தில் வாழ்ந்து வருபவர். இவரது மனைவியின் பெயர் திருமதி.கோத்தி. சர்தார்மல், தனது மனைவி திருமதி.கோத்திக்கு வேறொரு ஆள் ஒருவருடன் தகாத உறவு கொண்டிருப்பதாக சந்தேகித்து வந்தார். இதனால் மனைவி கோத்தியிடம், சர்தார்மல் அடிக்கடி தகராறு செய்து வந்தார்.
இந்த நிலையில், இவர்களது தகராறு உச்சக்கட்டத்தை அடைந்தது. இந்த தகராறில் சர்தார்மல் தனது மனைவி கோத்தியை தாக்க முயற்சித்துள்ளார். கணவனின் தாக்குதலில் இருந்து தப்பிக்க வீட்டில் இருந்த கோடாரி ஒன்றை தனது கையில் எடுத்த கோத்தி அவரது கணவரை மிரட்டியிருக்கிறார்.

In a harrowing crime, a man butchered his wife to death using an axe in wee hours of Wednesday morning in Sikar district of Rajasthan. According to police, accused Sardar Mal harboured suspicion that his wife Gothi had had an affair with other man. “The couple was not on best of terms for past one year. Sardar Mal had even broke victim’s mobile phone after he suspected that she was having a relationship outside marriage. On Wednesday night, the couple had a heated argument over a matter due to which Gothi picked up an axe and threatened him to back off. He snatched the weapon from her and attacked her face. He continued to hit her even after realizing she was dead,” SHO Rajkumar Meena, Ratanpura Police Station, said. Meena disclosed that Sardar Mal, a casual labourer, also told him that he went to other room and slept after the incident. The next day, one of his relatives informed police of the incident. Police sources said that the couple has two children, eight-year old Rajendra and six-year old Tony. The victim’s father has alleged that the whole incident took place in front of Tony, making him an eyewitness even though Sardar Mal has confessed to his crime. Police revealed that victim’s kin have demanded cases of dowry and murder be filed against the accused. Following the allegations of dowry, police also arrested accused’s mother, father and brother.
